The Chevy Silverado pickup trucks were produced by Chevy division of General Motors from 1998, Chevy Silverado 3500 crew cab was produced only in 2003. Though it had little difference in mechanical and engine options, it had dual rear wheels and was specially designed for towing. This was improved to 6-speed transmission in the year 2006.

The fuel tank of the 2012 version of Silverado 3500 could accommodate 36 gallons of fuel. With its 6.6 liter Duramax engine, it could run up to 680 miles on the highway without refilling. It could now tow up to 23,000 pounds. When it comes to carrying loads it could manage up to 7215 pounds. While carrying such loads it provides reasonable acceleration also.
