The Acura TSX is an entry-level luxury car manufactured by Acura. It replaces the Acura CL. It is sold in North America under the Acura luxury marquee, where it filled the gap as Acura’s 4-door, entry-level sedan when the Integra sedan was discontinued in 2001. The TSX would also eventually replace the Acura RSX in the US which in turn succeeded the Acura Integra coupe. The TSX is badge engineered from the CL-series Accord (also known as the European Accord or JDM Accord) sold in Europe, Japan, South Africa, Australia, and New Zealand. TSX rivals are heavy hitters such as the Audi A4, Lexus IS 300, BMW 325 and Mercedes-Benz C-Class

The first generation Acura TSX was introduced in 2004-2008. Named as Touring Sportscar eXperimental. The 2004 model year TSX’s powertrain consisted of a 2.4-liter inline four-cylinder engine, a six-speed manual transmission. Several online auto stores or auto mechanics can be contacted for when you are looking for a used TSX engine for sale at a reasonable price.
The K24A2 engine used in the TSX was related to the engine used in the Honda Accord (7th generation), the Honda CR-V, the Honda Element, and to a smaller version in the Acura RSX and RSX Type-S. The K24A2 featured intelligent variable valve timing (i-VTEC) and produced 200 horsepower (150 kW) in this version. Also, a significant difference of the i-VTEC system on the TSX and RSX-s was that, unlike other Honda K-series motors, variable timing was used on both the intake and exhaust cams in its three rocker design. Other vehicles with K24A2 motor were JDM CL9 Accord Type-S, RB1 Odyssey Absolute. For the 2006 model year, the K24A2 was updated to produce 205 hp (153 kW). The diameter of the throttle body and intake valves was slightly increased, along with the cam duration and valve lift.
The second generation (2009- ) Acura TSX is equipped with a 2.4-liter inline 4-cylinder engine reaching 201 hp (150 kW) and 172 lb-ft (233 Nm) torque. The transmission choices remain 5-speed automatic and 6-speed manual. Acura also added a “Sport Wagon” version of the TSX in fall 2010 as a 2011 mode. The wagon is only available with the I4 engine and 5-speed automatic. Honda Accord LX-S/EX/EX-L trim models also use the K24Z3 engine. Instead, a 280 hp 3.5-liter V6 became available in the 2010 Acura TSX.[21] The TSX V6 is only available with the 5-speed automatic transmission.
